Large vintage cedar hope chest made by Lane
Cedar chest is in very good condition.
Sturdy, tight and strong with lots of life left.
Still has a strong cedar smell.
Some light use and scuff marks but nothing
serious or unsightly.
The lock mechanism has been removed.
Therefore, with regards to any safety concern,
this lock no longer functions.
If you desire the ability to lock this chest, a
new lock mechanism can be ordered, for free,
from Lane.
Since there is no longer a lock on this chest, it will
open from both the outside and inside by pushing
or lifting the lid up ... in its current state, it is
it is impossible for it to be locked from the
the inside or outside.
A very nice, vintage piece.
